LG HBM260 Bluetooth Wireless Headset w/ Text to Speech & Multipoint

The LG HBM260 is the 1st bluetooth (BT) headset I ever bought, and I do wonder why I waited so long for this purchase...!

The looks:

It's lightweight - it measures about 2 inches long, by 3/4 in wide. It is not a huge device, and the ear clip (made of soft plastic) rotates easily so the device can be used for either the left or right ear. It is full-featured though simple - 3 multi-purpose buttons will get you going in a snap:

1. On/off button will also synch to a linked BT device (phone, cat, etc), located close to the microphone, away from the earpiece speaker;
2. Volume up/down also doubles as a Mute button, when pressed simultaneously, closer to the earpiece speaker;
3. The Call/Answer button doubles as the Call Waiting button, which is equipped with a power heartbeat light, on the dimple.

Operations:

Upon being notified of an incoming call, simply press the Call button on the dimple. The microphone cancels a lot of the surrounding noise to ensure a proper conversation, and the earpiece speaker does a great job on 95% of the calls Iusually do (I work in a bustling office) - the other 5% is usually associated to my interlocutor's low tone.

The synchronization to a BT device is straightforward.

Goodies:

• The earset can be used to playback music from the device it's linked to;
• The device supports text-to-speech playback through an interpreter app that needs to be downloaded on your device. The bulk packaging instruction guide does provide a link to the app through a QR code. Sadly, my older Android phone does not support the application, so I can't report on its operation.

Disclaimer:

Of course, if you're allergic to plastic or latex, this might be a problem as the device needs to fit in you ear. It's probably not a good choice to put anything "plasticky" in your ear, at that point!
