Gourmet Maple Syrup Pie

This recipe is a great way to enjoy a French Canadian treat!  This pie has the consistency of a pecan pie, less the pecans.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (250 ml) maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk (175 ml) - 3.25% preferred; no fat-free milk, please!
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
  • 1 8in or 9in pie shell, unbaked

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven at 350F/
  2. Mix thoroughly maple syrup, eggs, milk and brown sugar
  3. Pour mixture in pie shell
  4. Bake in oven for about 40 minutes
  5. Let rest 10 minutes

Portion:

Gives a full pie.
